Yes, couples are usually provided with a private room or apartment to live together. Costs are typically €400-700 per month for both together, which is more economical than paying separately.
Do both need to work in the same industry?
Not necessarily. If both have different skills, we can find work in different industries in the same region. For example, man in construction, woman in fish factory. The key is both being in the same city.
How much can a couple earn together?
Together, a couple can earn €6000-€10000 gross per month depending on industries. Net after taxes (~30%) and living costs (accommodation, food) - approximately €3000-€5000 can be saved monthly.
Should both apply at the same time?
Yes, we definitely recommend applying together and indicating in the form that you are a couple. This helps us organize shared accommodation and work schedules in the same location. You can fill one application and provide both contact details.
Are there language requirements?
Norwegian is not required. Basic English for communication with the employer is sufficient. Many industries have other Latvians working who can help initially.
